Disney's The Ghost and Molly McGee

 O Mc Gee! 

As a parent, we are always looking for those teachable moments for our kids. Well yesterday we enjoyed an early screening of the new Disney Channel show The Ghost and Molly McGee. Have you and your kids seen it yet? It is a new Disney animation show that always ends with a great message. From getting along with others to helping out and doing good deeds, there is an important lesson in every episode. 

The Ghost and Molly McGee has fun, upbeat music that my little guy was dancing too during the show. My boys found themselves laughing quite a bit watching the adventures and silly situations the characters went through. 

After the screening, we joined a fun Q&A with two of the stars from the show. Ashly Burch who is the voice of Molly McGee and Dana Snyder who is the voice of Scratch the ghost. We learned what it is like for them to voice the characters of this show and the improv process that goes into each episode. We also found out that the voice actors are also singing in the episodes. My favorite quote was from Dana Snyder who said, "Think how amazing life could be if you gave more things to chance." What a great perspective to have and one I will strive to live by more for me and my boys.

Then the kids enjoyed a special drawing class from Learn-to-draw artist Karl Cruz and my boys loved it! They especially liked when they got to show off their drawings to everyone after they finished. They were really proud of them and it’s no surprise that Scratch is one of their favorite characters from the show. 

Landon has been telling us for a while that he would like to do animation for his career, so he was in his element for sure and loved every minute. 

A little more about the show...

Disney's new animated series The Ghost and Molly McGee follows a tween named Molly who is an optimist and wants to make the world a better place. When her family moved into their new home, she meets a grumpy ghost named Scratch and he becomes a part of their family. Each episode is full of silly misadventures that always end with a positive message. The Ghost and Molly McGee has already been renewed for a 2nd season. The new episodes air every Saturday night, so be sure to check it out!
